Social Networking 2010

Lake viewYour chance to network at our Conference Dinner and Drinks Reception

Conference Networking Dinner & Ceilidh Wednesday 2nd June

Ready for more networking, or all networked out?

Whatever your state of mind, stay onsite and join us at Murrays. Delicious food and fine wines will be served in this fabulous new centre adjacent to the Sanger Institute. Chill out on the deck – but do come along and join in the fun!

Round Table Stratified Medicine Discussion Forum Thursday 3rd June

This lunchtime round table session is an opportunity for those with an interest in stratified medicine to explore the economic value of business-to-business partnerships and deal structures.  The relative contributions of the various stakeholders will be explored, along with how best to engage the regulators and payers with the agenda of stratified medicine.

Following an introductory overview of the issues, each table will be hosted by a Chair and a rapporteur and will guide the discussions. These will then feed into a final plenary session. Discussions and outcomes will be captured and feed directly into national policy and decision-making.

Please note that prior registration is necessary to attend the lunch and that places are limited. Delegates will be advised if they have a place at the lunch prior to the conference.

Networking Drinks Reception Thursday 3rd June

Following the last session of the conference please join us for more networking in the relaxed surrounding of the orchard at the back of the conference centre where drinks and canapés will be served. Sequencing tour will be collected from here.

Sequencing Tour Thursday 3rd June

The Sanger Institute made the largest single contribution to the Human Genome Project, and is now using studies of natural and experimental genomic variation to tackle human disease. In the tour you will visit the scientific campus, including the extension, opened in 2005. The Sanger Institute is the UK's largest providers of genomic information and the tour will take place in the sequencing centre, which generates some 70-80M bases of DNA per day. Also included will be the data centre, which handles some 12M hits each week.

"The discussion format of the presentation sessions at "ERBI" are unique and worked very well, and the conference's friendly and informal atmosphere created the perfect environment for networking." Robert Schwartz, Senior Director,Oncology Licensing - Bristol-Myers Squibb,USA
